About this event

Are you a caregiver who’s finding it a challenge to take care of yourself while you care for someone else? RUSH University Medical Center is working in collaboration with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement to integrate Caring for Caregivers into Age-Friendly Health Systems and Area Agencies on Aging nationwide.

Nece Pinkney, Social Work and Community Health Care worker at Rush University Medical Center joins us to describe, Caring for Caregivers. Each month, the Caring for Caregivers community invites participants to meet and share stories about caregiver support. You never know when you'll be a caregiver or the recipient of caregiving. It's good to learn about it before you need it.

The mission of RUSH Caring for Caregivers is to support family members or friends who are caring for adults 60 and older by offering services that aim to reduce caregiver stress, prevent caregiver burnout, and assisting caregivers in finding a balance between the needs of their loved ones and their own needs.
