Ageism: Why it Matters

Skyline Village Chicago is pleased to present author and scholar

Martha Holstein, PhD

Martha Holstein, author of Ethics, Aging, and Society: The Critical Turn andWomen in Late Life inspires us to think about an age-old "ism" in new ways

Ageism is prejudice towards older people, old age, and the aging process. Stigmatizing old people occurs in both those who are old and those who are not.

Join us as Dr. Holstein leads us through some common ageist prejudices, practices and policies, tells us why it's more important than ever to acknowledge ageism and gives us ideas about what we can do about it.
